THANK YOU MOM!

I just have to write a little note to say how thankful I am for my Mom!  She is the BEST!  I have been sick for the past couple of days - first the kids, now me.  Tonight, we have a group of ladies coming over to my house to play bunko (FUN!) and I was fretting over cleaning the house, taking care of the kids and taking care of myself - and Mom comes to the rescue!  She really helped me yesterday and although everything isn't perfect (hey, we live here!), I feel so much more at ease. Plus, Mom made a pot of homemade vegetable beef soup and I am feeling better already!  I can't tell you how grateful I am for her - this has been a long deployment and I couldn't have done it without her!  Thanks Mom!  I love you!

It's a JUNGLE in here!

My new jungle pancake molds arrived in the mail today - and they are SO CUTE!  They are larger than I thought and the perfect size for the kids!  My little animals loved them and we had fun making them together!  Take a peek - but beware of the animals!

**I have another set that is going to be one of our bunko prizes next Saturday!**

It's going around...

As with everyone else, Cole is sick today.  You know he's not feeling well when he sits still for more than three seconds!  Poor little man, I hope he feels better soon!

Hangin' with the Alves!

Little Man Cole

Josh - Open Wide! - and our YUMMY 20-minute ribs!

Me, Amy, Haley and the ENORMOUS Mrs. Prindable's
Gourmet Triple Chocolate Caramel Apple

Princess Lilly and Princess Olivia

Our new bestest friends came over to make dinner and the girls were able to play together - and the big girls had a FANTASTIC time making 20-minute Ribs (recipe from Pampered Chef) and using all my new Pampered Chef products!  They turned out SO yummy!
The girls (and Cole) had TONS OF FUN jumping in the bounce house and playing princess dress up (not Cole) - Josh was a real trooper keeping Haley and my little troublemaker (Cole) entertained while Amy and I prepared dinner.  The best part (other than the company!) :) was our Mrs. Prindable's Triple Chocolate Caramel Apple - that was almost as big as Haley's head!  It was AMAZING!  And we had an amazing time together; I just know Gary is going to love them as much as I do!

***I tried to make a slideshow and my computer kept freezing.  Sorry! ***

My new mantra

Maybe this will give me a chuckle every time I think this winter will NEVER end!

New Englanders' Poem

It's winter in New England, and the gentle breezes blow,
Thirty freaking miles an hour at twenty-five below.

Oh, how I love New England, when the snow's up to your butt,
You take a breath of winter, and your nose gets frozen shut!!

Yes, the weather here is wonderful, so I guess I'll hang around,
I could never leave New England, because I'm frozen to the ground.

**Mom emailed this to me and I forwarded it to almost everyone I know, but just in case, I thought I'd share it with the world.  :)

The Princess Cake

Princess Olivia decided she wanted a layered cake with a PRINCESS crown, which Mommy ended up making by herself.  This is the finished product - a little lopsided, but she thinks it's fit for a princess.  It's even equipped with a crown from one of Olivia's princess barbies.  :)

Two Peas in a Pod ... er, Box.

Olivia and Cole - watching tv before bed.  A little too close for comfort, but they don't seem to mind.
