Planting Sunflowers and Pumpkins

A couple weeks ago, we started some pumpkin and sunflower seeds inside the house after the ones Olivia brought home from school failed to transplant well. This weekend, the weather was nice enough for us to plant them. The kids played outside on the playset and Daddy and Mommy worked on moving rocks and mulch to plant them all. Here are a few pics.

American Girls

We decided to visit the American Girl store in Denver to get Olivia a new outfit for her doll, Emily and a matching one for herself. But we walked out of there with a 'friend' for Emily and Olivia. Her name is Lanie (the blonde doll) and Olivia just loves them both. Here are a couple of pictures.

The Mmmmmm Aahhhhhhh Song

One of the therapists that works with Colvin sang a song that Colvin loves! It's the Mmmmmm Aaahhhhh Song. I don't know the real name of it, but Colvin thinks it's the best. Here's Lisa singing it to Cole.

SUCCESS!!

We had a monster thunderstorm last night that created 1.25-inch size hail - and we even had a couple tornadoes touch down about 2 hours east of us! We decided to try to shove everything in the garage to the side and squeeze the car inside - of course, that was after grape-sized hail was hitting it. It chipped the paint on my hood and put tiny dents on it. I'm so upset! Here's the funny part - take a look at the pictures and see how tight it was to get the car inside! Gary had to crawl to the back seat and exit on the passenger side and then go out the garage door and run to the front! He couldn't get out any other way!

Easter Morning

We are so blessed to be together this year - I just had to say Thanks to God for keeping my family safe and allowing us to be together again. We don't want to ignore the real reason for Easter and praise God for sending us his son.
But in the fun of things, Daddy...er, the Easter Bunny stopped by at 5 a.m. to hide the eggs before the kids got up and left a trail of bunny food (candy) to lead the way. Colvin wasn't quite awake, but Olivia just wouldn't wait any longer! Here are a few pics!

Coloring Eggs

Too many things to do in one weekend - after Olivia's party, we came home and colored eggs to help the Easter Bunny out. He has so much work to do so we decided to color some eggs for him. Olivia loved coloring and decorating the eggs, but Colvin could have cared less. Unless he's eating them scrambled, he doesn't like eggs. :)

Eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide in our house. Someone has to help him out!

Olivia loves her Easter eggs.
